Maria Wenstrom
Care Manager Maria Wenstrom has over 20 years of experience as a nurse case manager and medical auditor with JEC Disability Management (Valhalla, NY), formerly Med-One Case Management, Inc., and Medical Documentation Inc. (Smithtown, NY). In her role, she provided care coordination, oversaw medical records to assist with treatment and cost savings, and collaborated directly with providers and carriers. As an LPN with Sunset Nursing Home (Port Jefferson, NY, now closed), Maria was responsible for geriatric patients and the patients’ prescribed medications, nursing care plans, basic care, and treatments. She also served as a liaison between nurses, patients, and physicians. With Home Care America (Central Islip, NY), Maria assisted patients with home care needs for rehabilitation, post operation, and daily living activities as a home care coordinator and medical consultant.
